OUR STORY
USA’s mead specialist.
Clear Skies Meadery is the result of a dream between two friends, Manisha and Yancy. They decided to put all of their passions and energy into a business that provides a place for their local community to gather over food and drink.
Yancy started out brewing mead at home. After Manisha tried Yancy’s mead she decided to start on a business venture. They drafted a rough plan on the kitchen table over some mead, and one year and a couple months later, in March 2020, what began as a dream in a Gaithersburg basement turned into a 12 tap meadery in the Kentlands.
Opening only a few days before the covid shutdown, they faced several obstacles. Thankfully, due to the amazing support of the Kentlands community, they made it through and even thrived! After only 2 years Clear Skies Meadery was able to expand from a 12 tap meadery to a 28 tap meadery in rockville.

Wonderful place. Found it by due to Groupon. After our first 2 sample flights from Groupon, we tried several others they had on tap. Would really recommend for anyone who enjoys mead or would like to try some. They have something for everyone. There's also a great chicken and waffles place that will deliver for free. Before going there if you check their web page you'll see they have a lot of interesting events. From game nights to live music.Posted on Meghan KTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This spot is tucked away and doesn't look like much from the outside but it is so worth a visit. It has great decor and vibes inside, and the mead and staff are all fantastic! They have a variety of events and were great hosts for a cornhole fundraising event my company put together. They have a little merch area where you can buy some bottled mead as well (perfect holiday gifts).
